Happening is featured in this month’s .Net Magazine (issue 205) under “Hot Mobile Apps”
Macworld UK interviewed me about Happening earlier this week. Hopefully it gives you some interesting background to the app.
Happening’s forthcoming Twitter sharing is taking shape! It’s going to be in beta-testing this week!
After Thursday’s launch of the iPhone 4 I discovered a couple of glitches in the sign-in that stopped users being able to log into their Upcoming account on Happening. The fix is in v1.2.4, that also includes a fair amount of new - hi-res - iPhone 4 artwork to make sure Happening looks its best on the new hardware.
Apologies if you were affected by this issue: the update is rolling out to the App Store as we speak (and thanks to the App Store approval team who turned this approval round in two business days).
Thanks to Michael Rose for the link-love. Happening is, as a result, at #38 in the US Paid Social Networking at the time of writing.
I’m genuinely humbled by all the press coverage Happening has received recently. Thanks to Erica Swallow for selecting Happening for this round up.
I’m thrilled that Mashable chose Happening for one of their “10 Beautiful and Usable iPhone and iPad Interfaces” roundup. Stay tuned for more soon!
As part of my work on forthcoming updates to Happening, I’d appreciate a general guide to the number of people who plan to upgrade to iOS 4. It’s likely to be a high uptake, I’m guessing.
Even if you’re not a Happening user, I’d love for you to take the time to fill this in - it’s entirely anonymous and takes two whole seconds.
Thanks to any of you in advance who choose to fill this in: if you fancy sharing the poll link, I’ll gather the responses and post a summary at the end of the week.
